This unit works great. It will probably get more use than our gas stove. It heats up very quickly and is easier to clean. We only had two pieces of Induction Cookware but will probably add a few more to the collection. So far, a great purchase.
I use this nice portable on my dining table to cook because I'm wheelchair bound and it's difficult to cook on the regular cooktop because of its height. So far it has performed very well. I must comment on the seller --- he contacted me before I received the cooktop to assure me of his interest that all would be well when I received and again after I received it to make sure that all was well and that I was satisfied. Very rare these days
We needed this for an induction range and it works great where others did not. Heat distribution is a little uneven but not as bad as others. Cooking Pancakes is the tell tale sign it isn't perfect in heat distribution but workable with a little maneuvering during flipping. High quality feel to the griddle and handles do not get hot during use. I would highly recommend.
A double boiler is not something commonly used in everyday cooking, but it is worth having as part of a well-stocked kitchen. If you've invested in a set of MultiClad Pro cookware, this compatible accessory is priced to make it worth adding. It has a graduated bottom rim to allow it to be compatible with MCP 2QT, 3QT, and 4QT saucepans. (Note that this is not a standalone double boiler but a component meant to be paired with a MCP saucepan or other pot of compatible diameter) For the uninitiated, in the kitchen a double boiler like this is typically used for melting chocolate or cheese (like for dipping or fondue) or making an emulsified sauce such as hollandaise or beurre blanc. It gently heats without scorching. Regarding criticisms in other reviews: - The rounded bottom. Yes, it is rounded, you cannot sit it flat by itself. This does not bother me. While in use, I find it to be an advantage while stirring or whisking because you can get your tool all along the curved base, like with a mixing bowl. In storage, I just place it on top of the steamer insert (which is flat-based) so it really doesn't take up any additional space. Alternatively, if you don't want it leaning over you can store it upside-down. To take off heat, yes you do need another saucepan to sit it in if total removal from heat is necessary. If not, you can just take the pot off the heat too, dump the water, and use the same pot as a stand. That won't hurt chocolate or cheese but might be risky with an emulsified sauce. - All the extra "grooves". The versatility to be compatible with several saucepan sizes comes with the consequence of extra ridges/grooves at the top of the bowl portion, the inner surface of where it joins with the saucepan. One critical review complained about chocolate getting in all those spots and being difficult to clean. I made chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day and yes, chocolate got in all those spots. But I didn't find it any more difficult to clean than anything else; I don't really understand the complaint. Note that this is not the same triple-ply construction as the other MCP pots and pans, it is a single layer of 18/10 stainless steel like the MCP lids. That is actually a good thing for this piece, you don't want it to have the extra heat retention properties that the triple-ply MCP provides. I'm pleased with this purchase.
I really like the casserole with cover. Cover fits nicely. Pan is very solid and heavy but not so heavy that it feels heavy to pick up but solidly made. If you follow directions and let it heat up before using, it cleans easily. When used on the stove top the handle can get a bit warm. Not so hot as to burn you but not totally comfortable to the touch. Please note that this is the smaller size and is more suited to cooking for one or two. I got this to try the line of cookware and will probably be purchasing more from this line. Update; The more I use this pan, the more I like it. It is quite versatile and clean up has been easy. I put water in the pan and let it sit in the sink while eating. Easy to clean after the meal even with scrambled eggs.
This sturdy griddle works great on my new cooktop induction range. I have a "bridge" and it heats evenly. I have cooked 6 average-sized pancakes on this griddle. I was surprised that after the first washing, there were scratches on the non-stick surface, even though I used a sponge to wash it.
I love this set. I have a glass top stove and they cook very well on it. I gave it 3 stars because after using the big pot I noticed it is bent and the lid does not fit it.
Great quality. Cooks evenly, nothing sticks!
We've had this a couple of months and we really like the way this griddle works on our induction cooktop. The sides are high enough to make a big batch of scrambled eggs. Great for pancakes, bacon, etc. So easy to clean up too!
after second use the pan warped rocked back and forth on my ceramic stove top but three taps on the outside center with a rubber mallet fixed that and has been a great pan ever since then heats evenly when you learn how to use properly it is nonstick it is one of my go to pans every day .since then I have bought three more pieces love them
* Even heat distribution for stainless steel. * Nice and durable, thick and strong material. * So far, absolutely no problem with food sticking. * The lid fits tightly, and the lip at the top of the pot makes for easy pouring. * Perfect size for soups! * If you're having any trouble keeping it clean (which I haven't yet), try Bar Keeper's Friend or some vinegar. I will definitely be looking into buying more sizes of these! Really great quality for the price!
Good quality boiler. Fits a wide range of pans, and does the job. One comment is there is a fair amount of steam that leaks from around the edge where boiler meets pan. Nothing unsafe, but if you are tempering chocolate I'd say there a small risk of seizing the chocolate. Recommended.
This is a nice and semi-heavy skillet. I can cook a meal for two quite easily using this pan. I do toss it in the dishwasher for cleaning, which I realize may dull the stainless sparkle some, but that isn't as important to me as the fine cooking experience.
This is a great non-stick pan for cooking. I like that it can go in the dishwasher, though sometimes I hand wash it anyway. If any food residue sticks, I either deglaze the pan while cooking (always adds extra awesome flavor to your meal), or let it soak overnight. We use this pan several times a week and I love it.
Love this skillet. I use it for everything. Easy to clean. Food does not stick.
This Cuisinart skillet is perfect for large spaghetti dinners, omelettes, and everything in between. Cooks evenly & easy to clean! Simply soak after cooking, and clean later. Plus, it’s beautiful!
I keep looking for a stainless steel skillet I can afford which does not stick. This is better but bacon still wanted to stick.
Gift (xmas 2017) for my son-in-law per his request. He uses it (and another one I bought for him) regularly and says he is extremely pleased.
Excellent quality. Way better for cooking veggies than a regular skillet.
I'm a fan of multiclad cookware, the kind that takes heat conductive aluminum and surrounds it with easy to maintain stainless steel. Professional cooks swear by it, but I'm just a home cook, and didn't even know about until a few years ago while watching America's Test Kitchen. This popular PBS series tests kitchenware, and reports their recommendations via their TV show, as well as 2 different magazines they publish. All-Clad cookware has always ranked up there as the best, but at a high price! Fortunately for us middle class working stiffs, other cookware manufactures have picked up on the multiclad concept and have been producing their own versions. Enter Cuisinart's MultiClad Pro line. This particular item takes all the benefits of multiclad and gives us a reasonably priced alternative. Compared to thexa0 All Clad Stainless Steel 12-Inch Fry Pan xa0at a price tag of over $150, you are getting a real bargain here. This skillet is beautiful, with stunning luster, and solidly constructed. It goes from oven to table with no problems, and looks stunning. The curved lip allows for pouring that resists clinging to the side of the skillet. It's very very easy to maintain. Personally, I hand wash all my high end cookware, so I cannot comment on whether it's dishwasher safe. If you do hand wash (and you should....just sayin'), usexa0 Bar Keepers Friend® Cleanser & Polish: 12 OZ xa0and a non abrasive sponge to keep that amazing shine. I give the product 5 stars, for it's durability, construction, looks, and ease of cleaning. I love this Cuisinart Line and highly recommend it.
it is a good quality pot, I like it very much !
forgot how well meat browns in a stainless shell pan as opposed to non stick, a good alternative to all clad
Very satisfied with this item. It was highly recommended by a cooking magazine, and it met all expectations - heats evenly, good size, and easy to clean.
very pleased with this item
Had it month. Use it all the time. Perfect so far. The handle is cleverly designed to stay cool (and it does) even though it is all metal and securely attached.
Perfect size for two people. Cleans up easy.
Great cookware! Even eggs cooked easily without sticking. I have several of the Cuisinart MCP cookware pieces and love all of them.
Frittatas stick even if spraying with Pam before hand.
Great Quality large stock pot. A super value!
This pan is great! Perfect size for preparing a large meal
Finally I can get a pot hot enough to properly cook with! Easy to clean and looks great, would totally buy again. Some small spots appeared at the bottom of the pot after the first cook. While I don't mind this as all as function is way more important than form, they spots were removed easily with a once over using a screen pot scrubber. I bought this in conjunction with the 1.5 quart. Think I might even go back and buy the 3 quart on now seeing as I love them so much.
This is truly an all around great skillet that is not non-stick so I can heat the skillet empty then add food. It is heavy but the helper remains cool so it is easier to lift. Washes beautifully. Will get a whole set in the future.
The Cuisinart triply skillet is a winner. I found this skillet to be the equivalent of my 12in. all clad skillet. The heat was evenly distributed and sticking was not a problem after the pan was properly seasoned.
Bought the complete set first, and added this extra pan. These pans work best on my glass top stove. Others have warped, but these are still level on the stove.
We recently purchased the Cuisinart Multiclad 7-piece set and bought this to go with it. Fits all the pots just fine and works great. Already steamed some veggies and White Castle burgers in it. Can't complain!
Converted my stove top over and lost my built in griddle. This is a great replacement that heats very well on a glass stove top.
Beautiful pans, I was afraid to use them since they look so nice. I'm not a huge expert on the differences between pans, so I wen't mostly off of reviews and what I read. These get the job done though and the look and feel nice.
Product received as advertised.. met all expectations.
I bought this to use on my induction stove top and it is great - no buzz, plenty of capacity to cook for 4 (pasta etc.). Very well made - I highly recommend this to anyone using induction
I have been using Chaudier cookware for the last 15,20 years, a restaurant grade product that I have been very happy with, this Cuisinart seem to compare well in thickness and quality in the early going, pleased so far, heats up well, looks great and easy to clean.
It is ok for keep soup warm. And bean also ok. Everything else will not be proper to use this expensive cookware.
It is clean and efficient. It definately saves your time and energy. you will be happy with no more cooking watch.
Bought as gift to my father. He loves it! The size is prefect for make porridge and herb soup for the whole family. Just heat everything to a boil then put the inside pot in the Thermal case then forget about it. You don't have to worry about spill out or overcook. Clean is easy. The quality is very good. I am thinking getting one myself.
So amazing. Works like a crockpot but so light to wash. With my arthritic wrists, this is a godsend!
Glad that I 've made a good decision on buying this thermal cooker. It's definitely worth for the money I spent because it's gonna to save you heaps in gas/energy, environmental friendly and very safe to use. Sometimes I forgot to turn off my stove for cooking before I left home. It won't happen again... hahaha.
My mom LOVES this!!! She said it's the best pressure cooker she's ever used and she's gonna give away her other pressure cookers to her relatives and only use this.
I can take it apart and clean all the pieces! It also makes great soups stock from bones and veggies in a fraction of the time!
We had an inexpensive pressure cooker long time ago, were not too impressed with the result, did not use it much. I bought this one based on past experience with other German-made kitchen products, even though they cost a lot more. The first dish we tried with this pressure cooker is beouf bourguignon. The result is very impression. The pressure cooker "fused" the red wine deep into the beef and gave it an intense flavor. Now we use the pressure cooker weekly to cook ox-tail soup, chick stock etc. The way of controlling the pressure (hence temperature) is based on the rise of a simple mechanical plug marked with several rings. More pressure pushes the plug higher, showing more rings. Very simple and intuitive. I am very satisfied with its performance, even though I cannot compare this pressure cooker with others of similar price range.
It cut cooking time to 1/10. Perfect for busy life. Stews are amazing on this pressure cooker.
I've been using this pressure cooker almost everyday for six months. I have brown rice everyday. This makes brown rice's texture much better!! :) If you cook meat by using this, SO GOOD!! You will not regret buying this. So good!! :) I sold my electronic rice cooker after I bought this.. :)))
